For many years the Philippines has been one of the most important places where we carry out rescue work. Over the years our team has travelled there many times to provide direct support to animals in need. Together with local animal rights defenders, we even ran our own shelter for a long period, giving abandoned animals a safe place to recover.
Thanks to your support, today we can continue to feed stray dogs and cats on the streets, fund life-saving veterinary treatment at local clinics and respond to the most urgent needs of animals across the country.
Together we have helped thousands of animals. We have supported local rescuers by providing veterinary care, food deliveries, animal transport, shelter repairs and the equipment needed to run rescues day to day — from animal care supplies to essential infrastructure and emergency funds. We have also provided help in emergencies during floods and typhoons, assisting in the rebuilding of damaged shelters and making sure that, in the face of crisis, no animal was left without care.
Thanks to your generosity, several rescued dogs have been able to travel to Europe and begin a new chapter of their lives in loving families. One of them, Toto, is still waiting for the home he deserves, and we have not lost hope that his family is out there somewhere.
The Philippines remains one of the key areas on which we focus our efforts, and we are proud to work with dedicated local rescuers who never give up on helping the animals in their care.
When people think of the Philippines, they often imagine beautiful beaches and tropical resorts. But beyond those postcard views lies a different reality — one in which many animals and communities in difficult circumstances struggle with everyday hardship. We believe it is important to share that reality with the world, because awareness is the first step towards lasting change.
