THE LITTLE PRINCE WAS FOUND IN A DITCH. HIS NECK AND BACK LOOK LIKE THEY SUFFERED A CHEMICAL BURN. 💔

He was found in Montevideo, Uruguay. He was lying in a ditch—freezing, exhausted, and defenseless. He had extensive, terrifying injuries on his neck and back. His skin was devoid of fur, covered in open wounds and scabs. The lesions resembled severe chemical burns. It is unknown what happened. Did someone hurt him? Did he come into contact with a dangerous substance? We do not have the answers. What we do know is the state he was found in. And that without help, his chances would have been dramatically slim. We named him the Little Prince. Today, he is fighting for his life, and we want to help fund his medical treatment.

The photos of the Little Prince are painful to look at. The extensive skin damage covers a significant portion of his neck and back. Thick scabs are visible in some areas, while exposed, irritated skin shows in others. These are not superficial scratches that simply need to be washed and left to heal. Such severe injuries require specialized medical care, appropriate topicals, antibiotics, and constant veterinary supervision. Every passing day is a battle against pain, the risk of infection, and the consequences of skin damage. Yet the most touching thing about him is his demeanor. Despite the state he was found in, the Little Prince has not rejected human contact. He lets people help him. He is a calm, gentle kitten who, despite everything he has been through, still trusts people. We do not know how long he lay in that ditch. We do not know how much time passed from when he was injured to the moment someone spotted him. We know that he was found in a state requiring immediate medical intervention. And that his treatment is still ongoing.

Jonathan reached out to us asking for help for the Little Prince. He comes from South America and has been collaborating with us for many, many years. Together, we have helped rescue animals in Poland and beyond its borders. We know his dedication and we know how much he does for those who have no one else to stand up for them. This time, he turned to us requesting support for the Fundación Catitosuy organization, which he knows well and which is taking care of the Little Prince in Uruguay. He told us his story. He showed us the photos. He asked us to help raise funds for his continued treatment. We could not turn a blind eye to this plea.

For many years, the Centaurus Foundation has been running the ANIMALS WITHOUT BORDERS initiative. We have helped animals in various parts of the world, even thousands of kilometers away from Poland. We have supported people on the ground who took on the task of rescuing sick, abandoned, and severely injured animals—often operating with very limited resources. Because suffering does not stop at any national border, and the life of an animal in Uruguay is worth no less than the life of an animal rescued in Poland. Today, that help is needed in Montevideo. The Little Prince already has people who found him and started his treatment. Now, they need the funds to continue it.

The Little Prince remains under veterinary care. He is receiving antibiotics, specialized wound care, and constant assistance. His condition is still critical, and the road to recovery may be long. With injuries this extensive, a single visit or a few days of medication will not suffice. Continued treatment of the damaged skin, monitoring the healing process, preventing infection, and managing any complications are essential. That is why we are raising funds for his medical care, necessary medications, specialized ointments and dressings, and ongoing veterinary attention. We do not yet know the full costs of saving the Little Prince. We do not know how long his recovery will take or what additional procedures and resources he will need. What we do know is that treating such severe injuries can be lengthy and expensive, and the people who stepped up to save him should not be left alone with the burden of these costs. We cannot guarantee that everything will end successfully. His body has been through so much, and severe skin damage requires time and patience. What we can do, however, is help ensure he gets the treatment he needs right now.

The Little Prince is still just a kitten. He should be growing up, exploring the world, playing, and gaining strength. Instead, he is fighting to survive. His earliest experiences have been severe injuries, suffering, and medical treatment on which his future depends. We cannot change what happened before he was found. We cannot undo the pain or the time he spent without help. But we can decide whether the people fighting for him today will receive our support. This is precisely why we have been running the Animals Without Borders initiative for years. Because where an animal was born should not dictate whether it receives help. Today, thousands of kilometers separate us from the Little Prince, but we can do something very concrete for him. We can help pay for his medical treatment and give him a chance at a life where suffering is no longer a daily reality.

We ask you for help for the Little Prince. Every donation allows his treatment to continue. Please share this fundraiser so his story can reach people willing to support saving this small life. We want to help the organization Fundación Catitosuy, whose volunteers are caring for him every day in Uruguay. They are by his side during treatment, monitoring how his body responds, and doing everything possible so his wounds can heal. We do not want them to run out of resources in this battle for his life. The Little Prince has already been found. He is in the care of people who did not look away. Treatment has begun, but the hardest battle is far from over.

We do not know who or what brought him to this state. We do not know if we will ever learn the truth. We do know, however, that today this small, severely injured cat needs help, and his future depends on whether we can secure proper care for him. Let us not allow a lack of funds to decide his future.

Let us help the Little Prince survive. Let us help him heal. Let us give him a chance at a life he has never had before.
