❗️Plamek. Six-week-old baby needs urgent help. The paw cannot be saved❗️
Look at the hands holding his head during the examination. Only next to them can you see how tiny Plamek is. The doctor moves the probe over his belly, checks the condition of the body, and thoroughly examines the injured limb. There is a deep, jagged wound on the paw. In the next photo, a dressing covers it, but underneath, there is still an injury that can no longer be repaired. Plamek is only six weeks old. The paw cannot be saved. It needs to be amputated, but first, his condition must be stabilized.

This little kitten came to the clinic from the street and was taken into our care. The wound is not his only problem. Plamek suffers from cat flu, is heavily worm-infested, and weakened. During the examination, the doctor also notes a lack of muscle tone. He eats so poorly that he needs to be force-fed. He receives antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs, and eye drops. Before the procedure can be performed, his entire little body needs to be cared for, not just the injured paw.
On the street, there is no caregiver to administer medication at the right time and check if the little one has eaten enough. There are no hands to hold him during the examination, nor a doctor to decide when he will be ready for surgery. Homeless kittens grow up there amidst dangers that even adult animals often cannot cope with. Plamek brought the consequences of such a start to life to the clinic. Now our people are with him. Now he is being treated. And right now, we ask you to help us provide him with further care.

Perhaps you are primarily looking at the dressing and thinking about the paw he will lose. We also look at everything he can still get. At the possibility of eating without constant force-feeding, regaining strength, healing the wound, and growing up off the street. Amputation is a necessary stage of treatment, but Plamek also needs help before and after it. Medication, check-ups, proper nutrition, the procedure, and care during recovery.
Thanks to you, many times we have been able to stay with an animal much longer than just for the first examination. To pay for further treatment, oversee convalescence, and see how strength returns after weeks of care. Today we ask for this for Plamek. You don’t have to be with us at the clinic to be part of what’s happening here. Your support can help pay for his medication, surgery, and ongoing care.
Plamek has a difficult procedure ahead of him, but also a whole life worth caring for. Help us guide him through the treatment. We want to show you the same little one without a dressing, with a healed wound, busy playing instead of another examination. Today we can work together for such a day.
