Summer has ended.
Sea. Mountains. Sun. Children. Holidays. Horses. Ride. Photo. Smile. One more photo. And one more round, because we are only here for a week.
Then September.
Suitcases return to wardrobes. The tan fades. Photos remain on phones, sometimes ending up in frames. And horses don’t disappear with the holidays. They stay where we left them on the last day of summer.
Heńka also stayed.
Perhaps not long ago someone sat on his back. Someone stroked his neck. A child might have said he is the most beautiful horse in the world. Parents took a photo. Click. Souvenir ready. The person moved on. Heńka did not.
Because a horse is wonderful when it carries. When it transports. When it gives memories. When it earns. It’s worse when autumn comes and suddenly you have to start giving to him. Feed. Hay. Vet. Place. Time. Money.
And then the horse stops being a holiday attraction.
It starts to be a cost.

This is probably the most uncomfortable part of this whole story. You can take a photo with a horse and really like it then. You can talk to it for ten minutes, saying “my dear!”. And a few weeks later, not even know that the horse from that photo might just be going on its last journey.
Not because everyone is bad.
Simply, our holidays have ended. His life shouldn’t have yet.

Heńka doesn’t need another photo, petting, or admiration today. He needs people for whom a horse has value even when it no longer carries anyone.
Maybe you’ve never ridden him. Maybe you’ll never even meet him. But if 5 zł doesn’t change your autumn 2026, it might change his.
Because summer souvenirs remain.
It would be good if Heńka also stayed.
We need to collect 4800 zł for purchase and transport by October 23. Will you stop time for him? It’s running out.
