Balbina and Bubcia

Little Bubcia is collecting funds to spare her life and we have a 250 USD deposit‼ within 24 hours

Are you there?
It’s me. Bubcia.
And my mom.
Can you see her?
She is sooo big…
My mother has the biggest donkey ears in the entire universe. seriously!

Mom always said her ears would protect us.
They were standing towards the sky, facing away.
I was lying on the dirt floor and staring at those ears and feeling so safe!

I’m already 3 weeks old.
Or 21 days.
That’s an awful lot.
And my ears are growing too. They are almost big now!

And since I’m 21 days old, I understand everything. Mom says I’m very smart. You know. Moms are always right. And my wisdom tells me that the people who have us do not have us to love…

Sometimes I walk on my long legs to the crack in the door and want to see everything. Mom doesn’t come with me. She stands tied short with a thick rope and only scolds me with her eyes. For me to come back…

And I, Bubcia, want to save us!
And I go there every morning.
And I look at the world.
Through my crack.
I stick my ears out to the sun so they look like my mother’s. To protect us.

And this morning, when I was standing at the door, it suddenly opened with a bang. The same man as always appeared in the doorway. He hit me with his hand to make me move away.

I stood up to fight!
My ears are on point!
But he pushed me again.
He walked up to my mother.
He was explaining something to someone for a while and then added “we will load you up tonight” and left.

I’m standing here, next to my mother, shaking. But I know that when they come for us, I will be brave! I won’t give them my long-eared mother! I will pound my hooves on the concrete and squeal until I drive them away.

But if they hadn’t run away…
then remember me, Bubcia, as the bravest of all little donkeys.

And get my mom out of here…
