Klusek – because they are so dumpling-like. The old man fed him with everything he had. Even though he had very little. It was a small, poor village somewhere in the Lublin region. Klusek’s life was bread, potatoes, grain, eggs and sugar cubes.

He conquered all the forests bravely. All the forest paths belonged to him. Klusek was the king of his barn and the beloved horse of the elders for almost 17 years. He was born here. This is where he was supposed to leave.

Klusek – because they are so dumpling-like. The old man fed him with everything he had. Even though he had very little. It was a small, poor village somewhere in the Lublin region. Klusek’s life was bread, potatoes, grain, eggs and sugar cubes.

He conquered all the forests bravely. All the forest paths belonged to him. Klusek was the king of his barn and the beloved horse of the elders for almost 17 years. He was born here. This is where he was supposed to leave.

You probably won’t be surprised if I write that fate didn’t particularly care about Klusek’s plans.

The Elder passed away in the fall. A few days ago, the Elder was buried.

And Klusek suddenly lost everyone who was interested in his life. And there weren’t many of them anyway. In the end, only the dealer was interested in him.

And if Mr. Elder was there, he would probably never have allowed such a course of events. But he’s gone. It was an endangered species where animals, in exchange for work, have a pension and dignity in everyday life. Although there was no money, as you can see, it is not necessary to behave decently towards the animal.

At this point I remember all those calls telling us to take in a horse (at a slaughter price) because it broke down, because it can’t compete in sports, because it can no longer work in a carriage, or it requires a vet in its old age – and everyone wants to give it back to us because their Suddenly I can’t afford it. In a moment we see (because it’s a small world) that they bought a new model, younger, healthier.

I look into Klusek’s eyes and my heart breaks into a million pieces. Of course, I didn’t know the older gentleman, but I can imagine how much he loved this horse, having kept it for so many years even though he hadn’t worked for a long time. Even his hooves are done…

So I would like to ask you on behalf of all those who have no money but care for their horses as best they can, this endangered species – help us collect $368 today to make an advance payment for Klusek.

Despite my vivid imagination, I can’t imagine them taking this old horse away tomorrow afternoon. And you?
