Gacuś and Filip
Meet Filip and Gacuś – ponies with crooked hooves! That’s their five minutes❗️
We are raising $505 for them today.
Only for them.
I’ve passed them a million times. Filip and Gacuś. Saved for the first time long ago. Thanks to you.
Every time I passed their stall, I said: Guys, I’m sorry, but not today. Tomorrow.

I’ve passed them a million times. Filip and Gacuś. Saved for the first time long ago. Thanks to you.
Every time I passed their stall, I said: Guys, I’m sorry, but not today. Tomorrow.
And this tomorrow repeated itself every day. Because they have always been more important, more urgent and more suffering. Although I don’t know if that’s the way to look at it. Both ponies are crippled, as someone would say. We say that they are simply different and have their own world. They both get up on their bent legs every day to reconnect with us. When it’s warm, they go outside. But now that there is ice like this, they just enjoy each other’s company in a warm box. Gacuś in particular spends a lot of time lying down. But he always gets up when we come in. And he’s interested in everything. We picked up Gauś. Perhaps you remember him. With a huge hole in his stomach that no one treated. He came to a clinic and fought for his life there for many weeks. Thanks to you, we were able to give him this. And even the clinic said they were shocked that he survived.
Filip has a story that’s not much more interesting. He came to us with legs as twisted as Gacuś. These are degenerations that cannot be cured. Filip is a bit more sociable. Gacuś, perhaps less, because he is completely blind in one eye. The second one sees little. But as long as they both want to live and we are able to provide them with the best quality of life we can, we will not send them over the Rainbow Bridge. Not yet.
Today I would like to ask you for help for them. I would like to emphasize what we often say, that saving begins only the day the horse comes to us. This first step, buying it or collecting it, is only the beginning of the journey of these animals. Often, the buyout amount is the amount we spend each year to provide them with food, blacksmith and veterinary care, supplements and specialized feed.
Today I wanted to give these famous 5 minutes to them, two little ponies whom no one visits every day and whom no one will ever adopt because their health condition is what it is. They will never gallop. They will never please the eye, as someone once told us. They only make you depressed. Maybe it’s sad that someone thinks so, but the truth is that Gacuś and Filip have no chance of finding a home. They will stay with us.
Today I would like to ask you for support in their daily treatment, which is very expensive. We must not only provide them with anti-inflammatory drugs and syrups, painkillers, very frequent visits from the farrier, very frequent visits from the vet. They also have acupuncture, they also have massages, they also have magnetotherapy. We try to make their lives as free as possible of the suffering that humans have repeatedly inflicted on them anyway. And of course, they are not in danger of going to the slaughterhouse, so there is no deadline here and I will not tell you that they will be gone in 12 hours.
Well, they WILL. And they will need you very much. They need you every day. Only we never have those stupid 5 minutes to write about them, and they are very important. And just the fact that they have already come to us cannot mean that they will be removed from the list of horses that someone pays attention to. That’s why I’m asking you, let’s give today to them, because they really can’t cope without you. The fact that they are here with us is one thing, but the fact that they need constant treatment, specialized care and much more funds than most horses here is another.
And I would like, if you would allow, today’s luxury to be theirs, because they rarely have such an opportunity. Basically never. If you can support Filipek and Gacuś, they will be very grateful to you.
