Pati
Today we are fighting for Pati.
Pati is from Morocco. Pati is a Husky and the Moroccan sun is not for her. In fact, its history is very mysterious and no one knows where it came from in Africa. Some say that her owner went to prison and Pati ended up on the street. Others say that her master emigrated and his mother, Pati, simply didn’t want her, so she threw her out on the street. And I think we will never find out the truth because Pati won’t tell us. He’s just a dog. Although when you get to know her story, you will understand that she is “a dog.”

Pati, living on the streets under the hot Moroccan sun, actually greeted death every day. Dogs of this breed are adapted to living in a cold climate. And although such temperatures affect everyone and can be very bothersome, for Pati they were extreme. No water, no food and no roof over her head to give her shelter and shade. Pati constantly fought for her life on the small streets of Morocco. Always chased away by people, because dogs don’t count in Morocco.
And the worst came. She developed skin diseases and numerous wounds that became infected. And at these temperatures they caused the body to slowly die. Pati has come a long way to get here. That’s why this story will be long, because I wanted you to know it well before you decide to help. Pati was simply dying on these streets. Her children bothered her a lot, so she moved from place to place. In the meantime, she received several blows from the man she was bothering and suffered serious wounds that did not indicate that Pati would be able to survive more than a few days. When the children were becoming very active, Pati decided to change the place where she waited calmly for death to take her.
But even here there was no peace. Pati was hit by a car and that was basically the end of her life.
I don’t know how it happens that some dogs, or animals in general, finally meet their humans at some stage. And why couldn’t they get there sooner? I don’t know what all this was for. Pati came across Anna and then Zahira. All covered in blood, she was finally taken to a small shelter with which we have been cooperating for a long time. And they told us her story. They gave her the name – Pati – which I use today when writing to you.
I know that Morocco is far away. I know someone may say “but what do we care about Africa and its animals?” We have been helping in this small shelter for a very long time. And thanks to you, we managed to accomplish a lot. And you didn’t care about those kilometers at all. Because in fact it all happens under the same sky. We are all citizens of the world today. We talk so much about globalization, and often when we talk about animals from another country or continent, people grimace and say “But it’s so far away, we have our own problems, why do we care?”
But I know you care. I also know that you will never meet Pati. You probably won’t recommend helping at this shelter either. But we can tell you about it because our people went on a mission to Morocco and helped save animals there. We know these shelters and their activists. We know these streets. And we know what great drama and senselessness of existence these animals encounter there.
But today we are not saving all the animals of Morocco. Because it’s impossible. Today we are saving Pati. Because the shelter doesn’t have money for her treatment, and she has been through so much that I couldn’t refuse today’s appeal to this dog.
I hope you won’t refuse her either.
We need to raise approximately $1,231
If I add that it’s URGENT, it’s like I didn’t add anything…
