Matylda

You saved Matylda once before, on December 11, 2021. Before slaughter.

Moments later, she, the plump mare, found the most wonderful home under the sun. She became someone’s world. And that’s rarely the case for a potato like her, as they say about such horses.

But sometimes fate mocks a horse a second time. As if it couldn’t go mocking her anywhere else.

Matylda suffered a very severe case of colic. The Rainbow Bridge opened for her again, as if she couldn’t escape her fate.

The sentence this time is a clinic. And I say a sentence – because it’s a total of $7,340. And an uncertain finish.

Matylda ends up in the clinic. No one knows what will happen next. Despite this, Joasia, who loves her more than life, decides to take the risk – and at the same time, she begs us for help. They’re taking out loans, all the black money. And so much is needed.

But this is about Matylda’s life. And while sometimes adoptions in this situation (at various foundations) tell the foundation to take the horse and then treat it themselves, that’s not even an option here. Matylda is a member of the family. Everything to her.

It’s just that “everything is not enough.”

We’d like to help. Raise at least $550-850. Because, after all, it’s our responsibility too.

We at the stables started a fundraiser – because everyone, like Matylda, remembers her, and we all cried when she was given up for adoption – even though we knew it was a great home.

We don’t want to leave Matilda behind today. But we’ve only raised $190. We’re a handful.

That’s why I wanted to ask you today to help save Matilda’s life a second time. If we all chip in $2 or $5, we’ll have done a huge thing today. Because there’s nothing bigger than life.
